Research & Engineering Center for Terrestrial and Maritime Spatial Planning Development

In 2014 ONHP established its new subdivision in Saint Petersburg – Research & Engineering Center for Terrestrial and Maritime Spatial Planning Development (R&EC for TMSPD).

R&EC for TMSPD comprises urban planning specialists i.e. architects, spatial planners, geographers, economists, engineers and ecologists; it performs full range of research and design activities regarding urban planning: from feasibility studies to project design documentation development and field supervision execution. 

R&EC for TMSPD personnel consists of highly skilled and qualified professionals whose references include more than 300 research and design works with global reach covering almost all the territory of the Russian Federation.

Project solutions developed by R&EC for TMSPD specialists were used in different countries of the world including Finland, Bulgaria, Syria, North Korea, Iraq, Mongolia etc.

In 2011 R&EC for TMSPD specialists (as a part of NIIP Gradostroitelstva JSC as of 2011) developed law-in-draft On the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation, as well as data for urban planning development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation for the Russian State Council.

Currently the specialists of R&EC for TMSPD implement a joint project on sharing experience of spatial and environmentally oriented planning with German Institute of Spatial Planning (Dresden). This project is implemented within the Russia-Germany Cooperation Agreement with the assistance of the German Ministry for Environmental Landscaping and the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
