Siberia and Arctic ocean will contribute into Russian capacities increase

On December 10-11, 2014 Saint Petersburg hosted IV International Forum “Arctic Regions: Present and Future” attended by 500 delegates from 30 regions of Russia and 20 foreign states, including ONHP specialists.

This event served as a platform to collect public and expert opinion regarding different projects focused on developing the territory of permafrost.

At the plenary session Mr. Victor I. Nazarov, Omsk Region Governor, in his speech expressed confidence that Omsk is the city to become a platform to launch activity of the Council for business cooperation in high latitudes. “Our city is in Top 5 of industrial centers of the country. There are high tech enterprises of different specialization established and successfully operated in Omsk, representing rocket production, aviation engine production, engineering and armored vehicles production, offroad vehicles manufacture, production of communication, diagnostics and control systems. Our city is distinguished by an advanced research and production base of petrochemistry” – said the Head of the region.

Thus, the Omsk region is ready to act as resources, technologies, products and manpower supplier to implement large-scale Arctic zone development projects.

This direction is being addressed for a long time. Integration of engineering and industrial potential available in Siberian regions to solve national tasks of the Arctic social and economic development has been already discussed at III Congress of Engineers of Siberia held in this May in our city.

ONHP specialists represented the Omsk region among the leading design petrochemical companies and provided their input into the Resolution of III Congress of Engineers of Siberia regarding important and topical issues of engineering development.

At the moment it is ONHP who possesses an intellectual resource to develop the Arctic territories. ONHP has all necessary competences and opportunities to design facilities of oil and gas fields on the Russian continental shelf in order to solve the tasks of Arctic zone strategic development.
