Igor ZUGA: "Explicit EPC-concept exists in Russia nowadays"

 EPC projects in Russia: Current Status and Goals is a topic of presentation which Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, ONHP CEO, introduced within 20 Anniversary CIS Downstream Summit. The presentation was up-to-date; it touched upon issues specific to Russian market of overall engineering and captured lively interest among participants.

ONHP CEO takes part in the Summit at the invitation of World Refining Association. This is an event where CIS leaders of oil refining and petrochemical industries come together and discuss market trends, new technologies of oil refining and petrochemical plants construction and revamp, changes in national and international standards of products quality and many other critical issues of the industry.

Presentation of ONHP CEO was one of the core ones. Mr. Igor M. ZUGA touched upon issues of overall engineering and problems which Russian companies face when implementing EPC projects.  

According to Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, feasibility to use EPC model in order to improve investment efficiency is substantiated with international practices and domestic demand in RF and CIS. In ONHP CEO’s opinion, implementation of this model requires solving a complex of tasks including, in particular, optimization of legislation regulating relations between EPC contract parties, revision of approaches to investment planning and budgeting.
