ONHP Building Consecration in the Anniversary Year

On March 16, 2013 His Eminence Metropolitan Vladimir of Omsk and Taurida performed the rite of consecration of the building of Omskneftekhimproekt JSC (ONHP).

It was determined that the service should take place in the anniversary year –  2013, it is 60 years since the company foundation. On the eve of Shrove Sunday His Eminence Grace Metropolitan found time and visited the enterprise. More than 50 employees of ONHP attended the service in the assembly hall. After sprinkling offices and staff rooms with holy water, Metropolitan congratulated the employees on the beginning of the Lent, wished success in work and good health. The employees of ONHP in their turn told His Eminence Vladimir about their participation in the construction of the bell-tower of the temple of the Nativity of Christ, of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the suburban settlement of Krutaya Gorka. Engineers performed the topographic survey of the site allotted for construction and geological engineering survey of soil properties testing, developed design and estimate documentation for foundation and the structure for steel framework of the church building, and exercised designer's field supervision of construction and installation works. ONHP provided financial assistance for manufacturing the dome and the main bell. At present the architectural gem is open for all church-goers and the bell ringing is being heard far outside the settlement. It’s worth noting that 35-metre-long belfry is a faithful reproduction of the famous Ivan the Great Bell-Tower in the Moscow Kremlin. Metropolitan made special mention of the major contribution of the engineers to the spiritual life of the region and blessed their work.

After the service His Eminence Vladimir gave the employees of ONHP the icons with the image of St. John the Baptist and the blessing of His Holiness Alexy II Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
