ONHP engineers to hold classes in Omsk schools

ONHP young professionals will hold career guidance classes for Omsk school students of grades 7 to 10 within the period from February to March. School students will get acquainted with engineership and engineering within the frameworks of “School – University – Company” program focused on training future highly qualified engineers. ONHP has implemented this program in cooperation with secondary and higher education institutions of the region since 2001.

ONHP specialists hold career guidance classes in Omsk schools every year. During the classes school students are told about ONHP business units, projects implemented by ONHP specialists and professional competences. School students get also acquainted with the profession of an engineer and engineering in general. They get informed on the subjects they will require most of all to enter higher education institution to get engineering specialization.

As a rule, these classes are arranged for senior school students and those of them who show interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines and have good marks for these subjects can participate in a contest for the right to undergo summer on-the-job training in the company.

ONHP young specialists will hold career guidance classes in schools within one month. During this period they will visit about 40 Omsk schools. They will share their love of engineering profession with hundreds of Omsk children. It should be noted that many of young professionals holding these classes will act as supervisors for the same school students in summer during on-the-job training.
